Mansfield company's key role in building NHS Nightingale hospitals

Mansfield furniture and fit-out firm Deanestor has provided clinical equipment to three of the new NHS field hospitals in Harrogate, Glasgow and Birmingham.

The company supplied 12 lorry loads of specialist equipment, including clinical workbenches and modular storage units to the Harrogate Convention Centre which was converted into an NHS Nightingale Hospital for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust,

At the Louisa Jordan Hospital in Glasgow, Deanestor supplied a range of specialist clinical equipment including healthcare benching, drug cabinets, medi rails and storage solutions.

At the NEC in Birmingham, Deanestor worked with Interserve for University Hospitals Birmingham and supplied specialist clinical equipment including workbenches and storage space.

William Tonkinson, managing director of Deanestor, said, “We were very pleased to be part of the fantastic work that has been underway across the UK to support our NHS.

“A huge thank you to our logistics, despatch and fit-out teams for making these projects happen in just a few days and in some cases working over weekends.

Work has also been continued on other Deanestor healthcare projects.

At the £350 million Grange University Hospital in South Wales, Deanestor installed more than 1,000 soap and towel dispensers and 263 PPE centres, and manufactured and fitted 48 HTM 71 pharmaceutical storage solutions in less than three weeks.

Deanestor also contributed to the early completion of 150 much-needed hospital beds at the Royal Liverpool Hospital project .
