Pubs and bars will be forced to shut unless they provide a ‘substantial meal’, under the pre-existing ‘very high’ level measures which aim to slow the spread of the virus.
All hospitality venues including cafes and restaurants will also only be allowed to remain open to provide substantial meals – or be ordered to operate as a delivery and takeaway service.
Car boot sales, auction houses and betting shops will be set to shut alongside tattoo parlours, tanning and nail salons, and piercing services.
