"We now have a large outside area with seating for 80, and the grassed area is perfect for kids.

Geraldine and Simon had run the pub for two years before his untimely death from Covid-19 in April last year – but she says Hawthorn has been ‘amazing’ in the months since.
"They supported me both personally and professionally, and to new give the pub a whole new look is just the icing on the cake,” she said.
"It has been a really difficult year, but they have really helped me though and now I can look to the future and build our community pub back up.

Mark Brooke, Director of Managed Operations at Hawthorn, said: “The last year has been a difficult one for everybody in the pub sector, but particularly for Geraldine, and we’re extremely proud to have her as part of the Hawthorn family.
“Our people are our most important asset, and we want to give our pub operators whatever support they need to make their pub a thriving hub for the community.
"The Hare and Hounds is a proper community pub, and our investment will make sure that it’s the best place in Warsop for locals to enjoy a beer in long-awaited company when the pub reopens in April.”
