The team behind Crave King is branching out with a new restaurant called Cravings – which opened on Outram Street on Tuesday (March 30).

Crave King is the brainchild of three friends – Craig Gibson, Dave Saxton and Simon King.

They opened their first branch on Pelham Street in Mansfield after Craig and Dave had huge success with their food van business.

“We had a huge following with our food van and we were doing really well, so we decided to go for permanent premises last year,” said Craig.

"It’s been tough with having to adapt constantly to the restrictions, and a little unpredictable at times, but business is going well.”

Enterprising Craig and Simon have now opted to expand the Crave brand further by adding Cravings in Sutton to their portfolio.

Craig told Chad: “It’s a similar menu, and we are starting out with just takeaway, but we have big plans to turn this into a proper restaurant – so that will take shape over the next few months.

"We hope this should do well here and we think there is a gap in the market for the food we sell.”

The two branches specialise in a large breakfast menu, alongside an extensive street-food style burger and pizza menu in the evenings.
