Staff at Ohannes Burger on Leeming Street are this week busy putting the final touches to their new restaurant ahead of welcoming their first customers in the coming days.

Ohannes prides themselves on making sumptuous handmade burgers and have already opened several restaurants in Nottingham.

Now managers are hoping Mansfield will be the first of many branches to open outside of city centres and say they chose the town due to its large population and ‘great atmosphere’.

Mohammed Celik told Chad: “We already have successful branches in Nottingham but wanted to move into towns outside of the city centre.

“Mansfield is perfect for us as it has a great atmosphere and a large population, and we are proud to bring our brand here – we are also hoping to open one in the Ashfield area too if this goes well, so we are excited to finally open next week.”

Having successfully opened 16 branches of the burger restaurant in Turkey, the owners are hoping they can continue their success and bring the Ohannes name to cities and towns throughout the UK.

With 14 different varieties of handmade burgers on the menu, customers will have the option of choosing anything from a classic cheeseburger to slow cooked pulled beef or vegetarian options.

Ohannes Burger offers 14 different burger varieties and opens on Tuesday, March 30.

"This is just the start,” said Mohammed.

"We hope to open branches throughout the UK to continue the success of our brand in Turkey.

"People in the UK love good food and everyone seems to enjoy our burgers, so we are hopeful it will be as popular here as it is in our other branches.”

The restaurant opens on Tuesday, March 30 for takeaway and delivery via Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo, from 11am until 10pm, with a later closing time planned once Covid-19 restrictions lift and the town centre’s bars and clubs re-open.
