Stagefright comics return to The Fishpond

Stagefright Comedy Club returns to The Fishpond in Matlock Bath on March 25 with a bumper line-up of talented stand-up performers.

On the bill will be Joe Lycett, Steve Bugeja, Tom Little, Tom King and Anthony J Brown.

Joe’s TV credits include Live At The Apollo, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Celebrity Juice, plus an appearance at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He’s a former Chortle Student Comedian of the Year and Edinburgh festival best newcomer nominee with an innately hilarious mix of easy charm, vivid anecdotes and razor sharp observations.

Steve Bugeja is the BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner 2013 who supported Russell Kane on his 2013/14 tour with his inherently endearing and uniquely imaginative wit.

Witty wordsmith Tom Little was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award 2014 with his skewed, rib-ticklingly pedantic tales and inventive leaps of logic, Tom King looks like a rockabilly ZZ Top member with a flair for pithy wordplay, wry observational vigour and a commanding stage presence, while compere Anthony J Brown, clad in a sartorially edifying manner, cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid.

Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. Admission is £8/£12 . Call 01629 581529.
