Punk pioneers to play at The Regal

Stiff Little Fingers were famous for many well known punk anthems including Barbed Wire Love, Suspect Device, At the Edge, as well as a storming rendition of Nobody’s Hero on BBC Top Of The Pops.

Performing as XSLF, the band comprises original members Henry Cluney and Jim Reilly, who both hail from Belfast in Northern Ireland, together with Ave Tsarian on bass guitar.

Henry Cluney said: “There have been several versions of SLF over the years, but for me the best line up will always include Jim Reilly on the drums and me, the original Belfast Boys.”

The band are looking forward to playing Ripley enormously, as this will be the first time they have ever played in Derbyshire.

Supporting them on the night will be the fantastic Black Market Clash, the UK-based tribute toJoe Strummer and The Clash.

The show will be opened by The Thurmanators, a punk band fromRotherham who will play hits by the Stranglers, The Sex Pistols and many more classic punksongs.

Admission to the gig at The Regal, in Ripley town centre, is £10 on the door, or advance tickets are available from Junction Music on Chapel St,Ripley, only while stocks last.
