But the year will be remembered for the Covid-19 pandemic which brought life to standstill. Lockdowns, masks, clapping for our carers, tiers and vaccine hopes.

1. A busy B&Q, Sutton In Ashfield, Nottinghamshire just meters from King’s Mill Hospital, where NHS staff treat covid-19 patients. The DIY store B&Q has opened its doors today, April 23 2020. Following revised guidance from police chiefs, more than 70 B&Q stores in the UK have re-opened to customers. New guidance set out by police chiefs has resulted in many DIY stores across the country opening during the coronavirus lockdown.
