Alfreton Town face a crucial Vanarama Conference relegation zone six-pointer at Nuneaton Town on Saturday.

Reds manager Nicky Law will have the boost of having defender Bradley Wood back from injury and the Reds boss has a full-strength squad to choose from with the exception of Andi Thanoj who is progressing well with his rehabilitation from a broken ankle.

The sides are 23rd and 22nd in the table respectively with Alfreton one point behind Nuneaton who have 18.

A tight contest is certainly in prospect with both sides having scored 20 and conceded 45 goals from their first 23 games of the campaign which is now at the half-way stage.

However, Alfreton have the chance to record a first league double of the season having defeated Nuneaton 1-0 at the Impact Arena back on Saturday, September 20th thanks to a 62nd minute David Mellor goal.

In their latest outing, Nuneaton went down 3-1 at Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night but in their last home game, they beat Chester 3-2 and have only lost one of their last five on home soil for points.
