The accident took place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at about 2.30pm, outside Apollo Bingo and McDonalds, and Lorraine is appealing for any witnesses who were present at the time to come forward.
She said: “I know there was a man just more than 6ft who helped me get onto my feet and into the McDonalds, and I also know there were people in the McDonald’s at the time who will have seen the fall.”
Since the incident, Lorraine’s life has been “turned upside down”, being unable to work for her former company as a home renovator as well as failing to secure other employment due to insurance issues.

However, prior to operations she could not walk, drive or navigate her house.
She said: “It was one of the most debilitating experiences of my life.
“I got so lonely over Christmas because I couldn’t leave the house.

Lorraine now faces an anxious wait to discover when she will have a prosthetic femur and tibia fitted, as well as a new knee, and, because she is unable to work full-time or secure employment, she faces losing her home.
