A special ‘This Is Your Life’ event is to be held by a Mansfield company to mark the retirement of one of its most respected employees.
In the style of the former hit TV show, Kingfisher Lighting will pay tribute to Stewart Weaver, who will be leaving the firm, based at Crown Farm Business Park, later this year.
Mr Weaver, who is Kingfisher’s business development director, has been with the company for more than 12 years, and a spokesman said: “This event is planned to celebrate the influence and impact he has had, not only on our organisation but also on the light industry itself.”
Meanwhile Kingfisher, who boast more than 25 years’ experience in exterior lighting for places such as sports venues, streets, car parks and warehouses, have also celebrated the loyalty of two other employees who have been with them for more than ten years.
Richard Holmes and Darren Fletcher were presented with awards in recognition of their commitment and hard work by the firm’s chairman, John Harding, and his wife, Barbara. Mr Harding said: “We have seen a lot of changes in the industry, so the quality, professionalism and loyalty of our staff have helped us embrace new technology and grow in the local economy.”
