The council has been working on a programme of developments during the last year that will help them deliver new housing across the district including the Meadow Lane site.
It is currently working on obtaining outline planning consent for residential development on the site and will shortly be demolishing the former Meadow Lane Depot to clear the land.
The demolition will make the land more attractive to any potential housing developers.

“The demoliton and sale of the Meadow Lane site is seen as the most sensible option as it will rid the area of an empty building whilst at the same time provide much needed housing.”
