Pupils’ very own Remembrance service
The moving service was intended to mirror the events at the cenotaph in London and the the children learned poignant hymns that were sung during the service.
There were readings by some of the children in years three and four.

A two minute silence was followed by all of the children, staff, parents and visitors in school, scattering poppy petals at the foot of the school Cenotaph.
They were accompanied by two Military personnel: Mr Lamb, a former paratrouper and Mr Ian Kiddy: the treasurer of the local branch of The British Legion.
These gentlemen in full uniform, not only contributed to the service but made the whole occasion even more special and authentic for the children.
