Mandy Hollingworth is set to take to the skies from Wickenby Airfield near Lincoln on Sunday (July 26).
The jaw-dropping feat has so far raised around £700 for John Eastwood Hospice, who supported Mandy after her much-loved mum Janet Hollingworth was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, angiosarcoma.

The wing walk forms part of her ‘50 before 50’ bucketlist, which ranges from acts of kindness to knitting to wing walking.
"It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” said Mandy. "And I thought, why not kill two birds with one stone and tick something off my bucket list while raising money for such an important cause. I am getting a little nervous.
"You don’t need any training beforehand, other than to go through safety with the pilot, but I have been told I can choose a ‘calm, relaxed’ flight or something a bit more daring.

As well as fundraising for the hospice, Mandy is also keen to raise awareness of angiosarcoma.
“It’s quite rare and we hadn’t heard of it before mum became poorly,” added Mandy. “July is actually Angiosarcoma Awareness Month, so it feels fitting.”
