Police have evacuated homes after a suspected mortar bomb was found in Ollerton.
Police were called to a report of a mortar found in a garden in Walesby Road at 1.30pm today (June 1).
Emergency planning officer Nick Waltz said: “We believe this device had been there for some time, but we are evacuating people as a precaution while specialist teams deal with it.
“I’d like to thank the local community for their understanding. Their safety is our number one priority.”
