Gritters to take to Derbyshire’s roads for the first time since last winter

With temperatures in some areas expected to plunge below freezing, the vehicles will treat routes across the county from 6pm.

A council spokesman said: “Our aim is to make the roads in Derbyshire as safe as possible for our road users and to minimise any delays caused by bad weather.”
