Fire authority sets council tax increase
The decision was made at a meeting of the Fire Authority at NFRS headquarters on Friday, February 26.
Councillor Darrell Pulk, chair of the fire authority, said: “We are very proud of the service NFRS provides to the residents within Nottinghamshire.

Hide Ad“The increase will help us to continue to safeguard this important public service for our local communities, in the face of a reduced grant from Central Government.
“We recognise that we are, undoubtedly, living through difficult financial times, which places even more emphasis on providing value for money.
“The increase represents an extra £1.41 per year for those living in a council tax band D property.
“This will help deliver a service that prevents fires and other incidents and means firefighters will be there when people need them most.”
