Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s said its fuel prices have always been competitive despite complaints from Mansfield residents.

On Tuesday (November 17), its petrol station on Nottingham Road, Mansfield had fixed the diesel price at 112.9 per litre as compared to other Sainsbury’s petrol stations.

Other Sainsbury’s petrol stations such as in Grantham, Derby or Leicester all had their diesel prices fixed at 109.9 per litre.

When contacted, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We price our fuel locally and always aim to be competitive.”
