Lockdown has hit the pub trade hard, with some smaller establishments being unable to open due to social-distancing restrictions and tier rules forcing wet-led pubs that do not serve food to remain closed.
The Garrison on Leeming Street only opened in 2018, bringing a Peaky Blinders theme to the town, but owner Dan Moody has been forced to ask for help to avoid closure.

Dan said: “Times are hard for everyone at the minute and we’re all missing out on the good times we all have in the pub.
"This hurts to ask for help as we mostly help others get through their day, but the pub is struggling and starting to get in arrears, which we hope we can pull back from.
"With your help we can hopefully all make this possible.”
The pages have raised just over £1,500 of the £5,000 target so far and Dan admits the support has helped him stay positive.
