An urgent work assignment requires Robin to leave Frank and be flown by Quinn to the neighbouring island of Tahiti.

Here’s all you need to know about when and where the film will be showing this week.

Six Days and Seven Nights legacy

With multi-award-winning Director Ivan Reitman at the helm, the film enjoyed a strong box office performance - grossing $164.8 million worldwide.

Reitman, the man behind hits Ghostbusters (1984), Twins (1988) and Kindergarten Cop (1990), cast the Star Wars and India Jones legend as lead in the 1998 action romp, a year after he played the US President in Air Force One.

A standout element of the movie was that Ford - a licensed pilot - flew the plane for real, carrying out his own take-offs and landings, including a particularly skilful one in windy conditions at the end of the film.

Anne Heche was a rising star at the time. Her profile had been growing thanks to films like Donnie Brasco, Volcano, and Wag the Dog, leading to this role alongside Harrison Ford the following year.

David Schwimmer was 35 when the film was released and an already well-established Friends star of seven seasons.
