The White Lion on Nottingham Road, Selston, which closed at the start of the pandemic in March looks set to become a Nepalese restaurant after a sign was put up announcing the change.
According to the sign the new restaurant is set to be named the Gurkha Restaurant, however it is not yet known when it will open to the public.

Resident Daniel Bailey, who has lived in the village for 12 years, said: "Personally, I'm really excited by the prospect of a Gurkha restaurant opening as I don't think Selston has had anything like this before.
"The pub has opened and closed several times. They turned it into a fine dining restaurant at one point which was really nice but unfortunately it never lasted.
"It's an iconic building in the village and the location on top of the hill is perfect for passing trade, so it should do really well. I really hope it's a success this time as nobody wants to see the building remain empty.
