5. 5, White Lion in Brinsley
The White Lion in Brinsley closed in August 2020, after a difficult set of trading conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In an emotional post on Facebook, Lisa Palmer, landlady at The White Lion in Hall Lane, Brinsley, said: “I have had an amazing six years at The Lion and have a fabulous team, and have made some life long friends. 7. 7, Birds at The Poultry, Nottingham
Birds, which has 80 stores across the East Midlands, confirmed the closure of the shop in August last year, stating "Our tiny shop at The Poultry in Nottingham was always planned for closure – given that we opened a much larger, more modern shop in Lister Gate.
