5. Time to Go Ape again
There's never a bad time to Go Ape and live life adventurously at Sherwood Pines. The popular park's summer season is in full swing, with a choice of jumbo-netted trampolines, bridges, walkways and tree houses, plus treetop capers with Tarzan swings and epic zip-wires. 7. Go back in time at workhouse museum
Children get the chance to try on costumes of the day at Southwell's Workhouse Museum, which recreates life for poverty-stricken families back in the 19th century. 8. Enjoy the Meden Trail
The Meden Trail is the latest venue to focus on in our series about Mansfield's network of local nature reserves. It has been converted from a disused railway track into an area of grassland, woodland, limestone crags and fissures.
