That means it’s a big family weekend, so our weekly guide to things to do and places to go in the Mansfield, Ashfield and wider Nottinghamshire area very much reflects that.
Mother’s Day-related events are happening across the region – from tea, cakes and lunches to workshops and street entertainment.
Please remember to check the websites of each individual venue for opening times and admission prices.
If you know of any upcoming events that could be featured in this weekly ‘Things To Do At The Weekend’ guide, please email me at [email protected]
Have a great weekend!

7. Free arts trail and crafts
Why not treat the family to a free event, suitable for all ages, that is being hosted by Southwell Minster on Saturday (10.30 am to 1 pm)? You can try your hand at crafts in a fun session, or join an exciting, self-led arts trail to see what you can discover. Photo: Submitted
