As Lidl’s popularity continues to grow, it may come as no surprise that the supermarket giant is looking expand its reach with more stores.

Below is a list of places in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire where Lidl wants to open new shops according to its latest update on expanding its portfolio.

“To continue our phenomenal growth we require further sites across the country,” the chain has said while setting out a list of requirements for new locations: “Prominent sites in town, district, edge of centre or out of town locations; ideally main road frontage with easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow; freehold, leasehold or long leasehold opportunities; unit sizes flexible on design and scale between 14,000 and 26,500 sq ft; 1.5 acre plus stand alone units or up to 4 acres for mixed use scheme developments by Lidl in conjunction with or acting as a developer.”
