5. Follow the Superworm trail
If you're stuck for somewhere to take the kids this weekend, you could always join the Superworm Trail at Sherwood Pines. 6. The best in UK garage music
Described as "the ultimate UKG party in the woods", Reload Festival tears up a Nottinghamshire forest on Saturday with a two-stage line-up that features acts such as Heartless Crew, Shosh, Interplanetary Crew, DJ Pied Piper, Matt Jam Lamont, Shola Ama and DJ Spoony. 7. An evening of dance delights
Mansfield's Palace Theatre has hosted an array of wonderful shows, staged by local dance schools, this year. And Saturday night sees another one, this time supplied by The Academy Dance and Fitness Studio in Arnold. 8. Explore Maun Valley Park
The latest Mansfield local nature reserve to feature in our series is the largest, Maun Valley Park, which covers 17 hectares of protected habitats alongside the River Maun from Bath Lane to New Mill Lane.
