Caught in the act! Mansfield Museum and Art Gallery seeks hilarious wildlife photos for new exhibition
Have you ever captured a squirrel pulling a funny face, a bird striking an unusual pose, or a cheeky fox caught at just the right moment?
This autumn, Mansfield Museum and Art Gallery is inviting wildlife lovers and photographers of all ages to become part of its brand-new exhibition, Comedy Wildlife, by sharing their own hilarious wildlife photographs.
Opening on September 5 and running until January 2, Comedy Wildlife showcases a fantastic collection of award-winning images from the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.
The exhibition celebrates the lighter side of nature, featuring perfectly timed photographs that capture animals in their funniest and most unexpected moments.

Alongside these internationally recognised images, the museum is creating a special Comedy Wildlife Wall of Fame, featuring photographs submitted by visitors and the local community.
Whether you're an experienced wildlife photographer or simply snapped a funny moment while out for a walk, organisers would love to see your pictures.
From laughing gulls and mischievous squirrels to curious deer and comical garden birds, if your photograph makes people smile, the museum wants to see it.
To take part, simply email your favourite comedy wildlife photograph to [email protected].
Please include your name, where the photograph was taken and, if you'd like, a short caption about the moment you captured.
Selected photographs will be displayed on the Comedy Wildlife Wall of Fame throughout the exhibition, giving visitors the chance to enjoy the wonderful sense of humour found in the natural world.
A museum spokesperson said: “We can't wait to see your funniest wildlife moments and celebrate the joy, personality and unexpected comedy that nature has to offer.”
