Scouts to entertain audience at Mansfield’s Palace Theatre

Over 100 Scouts and Guides alongside their leaders will take the to stage for the first time tomorrow evening (14th March) in the spectacular North Notts Gang Show.

There’s singing, dancing, comedy sketches and of course the Scout Gang Show anthem ‘Crest of Wave’.

The Gang Show is a vibrant, colourful revue guaranteed to raise the roof and leave you with a smile from ear to ear.

The dedicated youngsters have been learning new skills and practising weekly since October and have clocked up and well over 100 hours of rehearsal time and this is on top of their usual Scouting and Guiding meetings and adventurous activities.

The show opens in style with a homage to the Olympics as the cast members fill the stage.

The show features everything from Queen’s I want to break free to the Elton John’s Lion King hit Circle of Life, and many well-known numbers from Oliver, Wicked, Disney films and hit TV show Glee. Nottinghamshire legend Robin Hood and his Merry Men also make a guest appearance, as does the odd Monty Python sketch.

The North Notts Gang Show, now in it’s 2nd run at the Mansfield Palace Theatre, is due to attract more than 2,000 audience members across its five show stint.

The show is a spin off from the Nottingham Gangshow which has been running for over 60 years at the Nottingham Theatre Royal and was created to enable more young people from Mansfield, Ashfield, Hucknall, Newark, Retford and Worksop to take part.

The show is great value family entertainment and is brilliant for first-time theatre goers. It runs from Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th March. For ticket information call the box office on 01623 633 133 or click here.
