Pianist returns to town

RENOWNED pianist Libor Novacek will be performing at the Crescent Centre on Booth Crescent in Mansfield when he will explore the music of composers Haydn, Janacek and Mussorgsky.

The performance has been organised in conjunction with The Palace Theatre Music Society as part of their Midweek Music programme on 26th January from 7.30pm.

Libor Novacek is well-known for his interpretations of Liszt, Brahms and Janacek and his 2009 CD Années de Pèlerinage- Suisse and Consolations, featuring the works of Liszt, was praised by critics.

He has played in venues all over the world and often works with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has also worked with the Prague Philharmonia, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, English Sinfonia, European Union Chamber Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra and made recordings for Czech Radio and BBC Radio 3.

Advance tickets for the concert are £12.50 for adults and £5 for children, with tickets on the day of the concert at £13.50 for adults and £6 for children.

Members of the Music Society can buy tickets for £10 in advance and £10.80 on the day.
