Young promoters make right noises at themed Mansfield band night

A Grow-A-Mo Moustache party, with live music from local bands The Hush, Nitrox, and the Gnome Architects will take place on Friday 10th June at 7.30pm at The Old Library Venue & Media Centre, Mansfield.

The night, organised by a group of young people called Plug Promotions, promises interactive visuals by digital artists, Urban Projections as well as large-scale projections of bespoke footage created by the group.

Plug Promotions is based at The Old Library Venue & Media Centre and is supported by Nottinghamshire County Council County Youth Arts. The group aims to bring a fresh new approach to live music events for young people in Nottinghamshire and meets weekly to work on planning, promoting and staging events which showcase new, local music, in innovative ways.

Jen Saint, County Youth Arts Project Coordinator at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “The ambience and look of the event means a lot to the group. They’ve worked really hard to make an audio-visual feast! They have created clips which will be triggered and manipulated live by Urban Projections and there will be lots of exciting ways for the audience to get involved.”

The night kicks off at 7.30pm. Entry is £3 on the door, or £2.50 wearing a moustache. For more information on the event, or how to get involved with the group, contact Jen Saint on 01623 644377 or email
