Whatever your taste in music, the flavour of the moment is Mansfield-based Tastebuds. They narrowly missed qualifying for the main stage at the Splendour Festival in a play off at Nottingham’s Rock City two weeks ago and recently played legendary London Islington venue, the Hope & Anchor.
And this Friday, 29th July they will play at Mansfield Town Football Club, £5 entry fee, doors opens 7.30pm
Their music has been described by London Promoters, Bugbear as “a massive proggy sound with lovely harmony vocals, loads of disparate influences from Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Scissor Sisters to the Bonzo Dog Band! We also detect Yes and MGMT. Tastebuds manage to cram loads of ideas/hooks into one song without sounding cluttered”.
Tastebuds’ manager, Mole Vessey is “excited at the momentum of interest that the band are currently attracting. They play a unique blend of Folk Rock Pop, and each song they deliver is instantly memorable. I’m betting that you go home humming ‘Esmeralda’!”
