Jazz event at Mansfield’s new library this Sunday

It appears Mansfield is ahead of New York in the audience stakes for a top regional Jazz band this weekend!

The Hot House Big Band is to be the first live event to take place in the auditorium at the newly refurbished £3.4m Mansfield Library, in West Gate since it reopened last month.

The 18-piece big band jazz orchestra, with a Michael Buble-style singer will perform at the library on Sunday afternoon before their next stop over the Atlantic to perform in New York.

Hot House grew out of the extremely successful East Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra in July 2008. After five years of exhilarating music making and tours, this international award winning organisation had outgrown its original mandate and become much more than just a “regional youth jazz orchestra”.

Having garnered national and international acclaim as EMYJO, the Big Band is continuing its drive to become recognised as one of the most awe-inspiring and electrifying youth ensembles in the world!
