Anyone fancy a cheeky Nando’s?
That will soon be the question in Mansfield with the famous chicken restaurant chain set to open in the town in just a few weeks.
Nando’s will be last in a trio of new restaurants to open its doors at Mansfield Leisure Park in a matter of months.
Bella Italia opened a restaurant at the park this week, while Mexican chain Chiquito is due to open a restaurant on the site next month.
The lettings have been completed by Legal & General Property, advised by Savills.
A Savills spokesman said Bella Italia had agreed a 20-year lease on a 3,500 sq feet unit.
He said: “Chiquito is due to start trading in December 2015 after taking a 25-year lease for a 4,000 sq feet restaurant and Nando’s will follow with an opening in January 2016 in 3,500 sq feet of space having agreed a 25-year lease.”
Located one mile to the south of Mansfield town centre, the park features an eight-screen Odeon cinema, a drive-thru McDonald’s Restaurant and a Walkers Bingo hall.
David Bell, head of UK leisure at Savills, said: “These national restaurant operators will provide fantastic eating-out options for the area and will really cement this scheme as a key leisure destination in Mansfield.
“The UK restaurant market is really strong at the moment with continued demand from the consumers for a variety of choice.”
Neil Crawford, LGP retail development manager, said: “We’re very excited that Bella Italia, Chiquito and Nandos will all be open soon, further strengthening the offer at Mansfield Leisure Park and providing excellent restaurant choices for the area.”
