On the bill for the event will be Ivan Brackenbury, Ian D Montfort, Nicola James and your compere Anthony J Brown.

Comic spirit medium Ian D Montfort will be performing material from his forthcoming Edinburgh Festival show. Dressed in white, barefoot, beaming in a beatific way, the aura he gives off is that of a latter-day messiah crossed with a 1980s hairdresser as he wows the audience with his mind-blowing spirit medium skills. He is a New Zealand Comedy Festival award winner and star of his own four-part Radio 2 series.

Described by Chris Evans as ‘a comedy genius’, Ivan is a truly bizarre and twisted comic creation, a hospital radio DJ with delusions of grandeur. His show has wowed punters at festivals all over the world and created a frenzy at the Edinburgh Festival where the show won the coveted Spirit Of The Fringe Award and was nominated for the If.comedy Best Show Award.

Ivan has appeared on his own show on Radio 2 along with spots on breakfast TV, Radio 1, Virgin and GLR and Channel 4’s 4-Music, as well as sold out solo shows at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre. He was also voted in the Top 50 most memorable gigs of the decade by the illustrious comedy website Chortle.

Nicola is a Sheffield-based comedian who has quite rightly been described as ‘sweetly cynical’ and quite unfairly described as ‘a natural psychopath’. If you’ve ever wanted to understand the psychology behind people doing unreasonable things, wearing chintzy patterns or becoming serial killers she’s a must see.

Nicola’s seemingly irrefutable comedic logic and deliciously demonstrative disdain for hipster protocol is a welcome addition to any evening of intelligent stand-up.

Compere for the night will be your regular host with the most Anthony J Brown.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Admission is £10. Call 01629 581 529.
