A special out of this world event will run from Saturday, May 25, until Sunday, June 2, from 10am-4pm. The Space Trail at Thoresby Park gives you the chance to become a space explorer for the day.
The Workhouse museum in Southwell might be one of the most austere buildings in the county, but it provides a fascinating day out for the family, thanks to a full programme of living history events, tours and exhibitions.
The Cricket World Cup is coming to Nottingham this summer and the city is hosting the UKs first and largest Fanzone in Old Market Square. Taking place to coincide with school half-term, from Thursday, May 30, to Sunday, June 2.
Sometimes it is just a good idea to let the children roam free in the wild to while away the hours, and what better place than Wollaton Park? See the deer and explore the grounds.
