PREVIEW: West End tribute to Burt Bacharach at Palace Theatre this month

Enjoy the sound of Burt Bacharach when a tribute to the an American composer, songwriter, producer, pianist, and singer comes to Mansfield's Palace Theatre later this month.

Burt Freeman Bacharach (born May 12, 1928) is known for his popular hit songs and compositions from the late 1950s through to the 1980s.

Most of Bacharach’s hits were written specifically for and performed by Dionne Warwick, but earlier associations saw him composing work with stars such as Perry Como.

Following the initial success of these collaborations, Bacharach went on to write hits for Gene Pitney, Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones, and The Carpenters, among numerous other artists, resulting in over fifty UK top 40 hits.

Back To Bacharach is an exciting production, appearing at Mansfield Palace Theatre on Friday May 13 – the day after Burt’s 88th birthday.

It features three of the finest West End vocalists, accompanied by an amazing ten piece band, recreating Burt Bacharach’s timeless masterpieces.

All the hits are featured in this amazing two hour show including, Alfie, What the World Needs Now, The Look of Love, Walk on By, Always Something There to Remind Me, What’s New Pussycat, I Say a Little Prayer and many, many more.
