Nottingham date for all-conquering Gorillaz
Damon Albarn’s all-conquering cartoon hit-makers Gorillaz have announced a show in Nottingham in March.
Created by Blur frontman Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, the Brit and Grammy-winning ‘virtual band’ formed following what they call “a collision of mishaps, meetings and pure luck” to find global success with their distinctive visual style and catchy, innovative songs. Along they way, they have worked with an array of talents including musical legends, geniuses and future stars including Elton John, Jean-Michel Jarre, Grace Jones and Bobby Womack.

They have eight albums to their name, including the chart-topping Demon Days (2005) and Cracker Island (2023), with hit singles including Clint Eastwood, 19-2000, Feel Good Inc, Dirty Harry and the number 1 Dare, featuring Shaun Ryder.
Gorillaz are a truly global phenomenon, touring the world from San Diego to Syria, Montevideo to Manchester and winning numerous awards including the Jim Henson Creativity Honor. Their new album, The Mountain, is released in February.
The band play the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday March 28. Visit gigantic.com/gorillaz-tickets to book.
