Muppets fans in for a treat with live event scheduled for Nottingham Royal Concert Hall

Fans won’t want to miss Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol, presented live in concert at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on December 14.

Monday, 19th April 2021, 12:00 am
The Muppet Christmas Carol will be screened at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, accompanied by a live orchestra.

It will feature the musical score being performed to the film by The Novello Orchestra, conducted by David Mahoney.

The Muppets perform the classic Charles Dickens tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Gonzo, as Dickens, narrates the story with the help of Rizzo the Rat. The film also features Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig, and Robin as Tiny Tim.

The original score was composed by Miles Goodman with songs by Oscar, Emmy and Grammy-winning songwriter Paul Williams.
