Movie magic is back in Selston as Films in the Park event returns this weekend
Selston Films in the Park is back this weekend, bringing two family‑friendly films and a full day of entertainment to Selston Country Park.
Taking place on Saturday, June 20, gates open at 1pm, giving visitors plenty of time to explore what’s on offer before settling in for two fantastic outdoor screenings.
At 2pm, the mischievous, fun‑filled adventure of Peter Rabbit 2 will hit the big screen.
Then at 6pm, the park will come alive with the feel‑good musical favourite Hairspray – perfect for dancing, singing, and celebrating a summer evening together.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions including inflatables, face painting, music, outdoor films, local traders, and a fully stocked bar.
Coun Arnie Hankin (Ash Ind), who represents Selston on Ashfield Council, said: “Films in the Park is one of the highlights of our summer events programme and it’s fantastic to see it return to Selston.
“It’s a brilliant day out for families, friends, and neighbours to come together and enjoy everything our community has to offer and kicks off a fabulous summer of events.
"We’re proud to support events that bring people into our beautiful park and create lasting memories for residents of all ages.”
