John Bishop announces Nottingham date on major tour
Comedy superstar John Bishop is returning to Nottingham next year with his new show.
Hot on the heels of John’s sold out critically acclaimed international tour last year, John has announced a series dates at some of Britain’s biggest venues – including the Motorpoint Arena.

Announcing the tour, named Let's Go Round Again, John said: “After my tour last year I thought I would take time off, but I loved it so much I am itching to get on the road again.
"So, I’ll be going out in the spring of 2027 with my new show, Let's Go Round Again. Nothing beats being on a stage and hearing people laugh. I am looking forward to spending this year working on the show and developing new material because I know 2027 will come round fast. And if my last tour was anything to go by, people are really ready for a good laugh.”
The announcement of this tour coincides with the UK cinema release of the new film Is This Thing On?, inspired by John’s life and directed by Bradley Cooper. The film also stars Cooper, Will Arnett and Laura Dern.
Since John’s first gig in October 2000, he has enjoyed a remarkable career. Within three years John was playing to sold out arena audiences across the country and released the fastest selling stand-up DVD in UK history.
He has achieved huge success with a number of his own comedy, entertainment and documentary TV shows including John Bishop’s Australia’ (BBC One), John Bishop’s Britain (BBC One), John Bishop’s Only Joking (Sky1) and The John Bishop Show (BBC One).
In 2024, he embarked on a major sold-out international tour, Back At It, his first stand-up show in two years, which culminated at the London Palladium in April 2025. The tour included legs in Europe, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Later this year, John makes a return to Saturday nights on BBC One, hosting a new eight-part entertainment series, Wisdom of the Crowd.
John performs at the Motorpoint Arena on May 7, 2027. Visit johnbishoponline.com to book.
