The Black Dyke Band is regarded by many to be the most famous and successful brass band in history. Formed in 1855 in the Yorkshire town of Queensbury, the band has won no less than 24 National, 30 British Open and 13 European Championship titles and is the current National Champion Band of Great Britain, by

virtue of their winning performance at the National Brass Band Championships held at the Royal Albert Hall, London in October 2023.

The band will return to Notts to perform in the beautiful Minster, a week before they compete at the British Open Brass Band Championships, held annually in Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.

Under the leadership of musical director Nicholas Childs, the band will deliver an exciting and varied programme of music to showcase the talents of the band and its world class soloists.
