Comedy at the Palace with Billy

National treasure, and without doubt one of Britain's most talented and best loved comedians and performers, Billy Pearce emerged from the talent fields of Butlins in the mid 1980's.

He has won just about every comedy award going, including a British comedy award, and Best television comedy newcomer at the London Palladium.

Billy, who was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, first came to national prominence when he appeared in Central TV’s top talent show, New Faces. His impact was immediate and he was quickly snapped up for stage and TV appearances, culminating with his first series for BBC television, You Gotta Be Joking.

When variety fell out of fashion in the 1990’s Billy found a niche in family-friendly panto whilst keeping the razor-sharp wit needed to entertain adult-only audiences.

Billy even trod the boards of musical theatre appearing alongside Jimmy Osmond in the smash hit musical Boogie Nights. He followed this by having a stint as narrator in the Rocky Horror Show. A fine actor, Billy has also appeared on numerous shows, including ITV’s Heartbeat.
