Christmas At Belton returns to sparkle with festive cheer

And tickets are expected to sell fast with any other major seasonal events in the region postponed or looking in doubt due to Covid-19 restrictions.

That could lead to bumper bookings and organisers are advising people to book early, to avoid missing out on the magical illuminated trail of the National Trust's Belton House, near Grantham, in Lincolnshire, selective dates from November 27 to January 3.

Popular early evening and weekend time slots are expected to be in most demand.

There will be giant baubles, glowing flowers and snowflakes where you least expect them, with clusters of trees wrapped in ever-changing ribbons of colour.

Festive favourites, from the event’s debut last year, will return – including the Tunnel Of Light and the chance to pause for a moment of quiet reflection at the water-side scented Fire Garden, aglow with hundreds of flickering flames.

But visitors will also find new amazing installations to share with friends and family as they walk under the stars, with mulled wine, hot chocolate and other seasonal favourites available to buy.

Father Christmas will also be making an appearance.

It will open from 4.30pm, last entry is 8pm and it will close at 10pm, on selected days.
