Chris McCausland will be waffling in Nottingham on new UK tour

Chris McCausland is heading back out on tour next year with his brand-new stand-up show, Waffle.

The BAFTA-winning, Strictly-winning comedy star is a purveyor of the finest in comedy waffle and he’s got loads of funny stuff to talk about and needs people to say it to.

Chris says he loves being on tour.

He’s especially looking forward to the hotel breakfasts, not being woken at 7am by his family every morning – and his audiences of course.

He said: “I’ll be starting this tour three months after turning 50, so if I was you, I’d get your tickets early to avoid having to stare at the top of my balding head from up in the gods for the duration of the show.

It’s not going to be a pleasant sight from up there – you’ve been warned.”

Chris famously won the hearts of the nation in 2024 when he won Strictly Come Dancing.

Amongst other things, it meant his last stand-up tour, Yonks! went on for a further year, selling more than 350,0000 tickets nationwide.

A firm favourite on flagship comedy shows, Chris has appeared on, The Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall and has made numerous appearances on: Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You?, QI, The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Blankety Blank, Scared of the Dark, The Jonathan Ross Show and The Graham Norton Show, along with celebrity editions of The Chase, Pointless, and Mastermind, the latter of which he won with his chosen specialist subject, Pearl Jam.

He has also made four appearances on Live at the Apollo, including hosting this year’s upcoming Christmas episode.

Chris co-wrote and co-starred in - with Lee Mack - Bad Tidings, a Christmas film for Sky.

He also fronted Chris McCausland: Seeing Into the Future for BBC, as well as, Wonders Of The World I Can’t See for Channel 4.

On radio Chris is a familiar voice on Radio 4’s News Quiz as well as his own panel show You Heard It Here First, which has enjoyed three consecutive series.

This year, he added another string to his bow by joining Absolute Radio with The Chris McCausland Show, which airs every Sunday morning,

Chris’s debut autobiography, Keep Laughing, was published at the end of 2025 and the audiobook version has just been nominated by The Speakies (the British Audio Awards) for Audiobook Of The Year.

He comes to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on May 27, 2028.
