Castaway Cove at Mansfield Museum
Summer so far might have been a wash out but Mansfield Musuem has a new exhibit planned to get people in the holiday mood.
Rather than place the museums’ tropical bird collection in a traditional display, museum staff thought something more whimsical might set them off more strikingly so came up with the idea of Castaway Cove which opens on July 9.
Besides opportunities for sandcastle building, Castaway Cove is supported by a full programme of tropically-themed events, from a Pirate Week to a Rio-style carnival.
