70s pop sensation Three Degrees to perform at Mansfield's Palace Theatre

Only a small number of artists deserve the title of legendary and The Three Degrees are among the few.

Currently celebrating 50 years in the business, the ladies are coming to Mansfield Palace Theatre on Friday March 18.

The Three Degrees are an American female vocal group, formed in 1963 in Philidephia, Pennsylvania.

They are well-known for their soulful voices, beautiful gowns and fabulous stage shows.

Featured in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running female vocal group in history, The Three Degrees were, without doubt, the most successful female soul / disco outfit of the 1970s.

Known all over the world for songs like When Will I see you Again, Woman in Love, My Simple Heart and Take Good Care of Yourself, The Three Degrees have been continuously touring for more than 40 years.

This is an exciting opportunity to see them perform live in your local theatre.

Original members Helen Scott and Valerie Holiday along with new arrival Freddie Pool (who joined in 2011), have recently been wowing clubland with their amazing live performances.

Valerie said: “For us, it is still exciting, we love what we do and we still really enjoy our work.

“We are blessed with a wide age group appeal...from fifteen to sixty-five, this is why we have survived, I think.”

To coincide with the release of their new album, Strategy, the threesome hit the road with a tour of over thirty shows across the UK including a performance here in Mansfield.
