World veteran fencing title for Malcolm

Malcolm fences three weapons - foil, epee and sabre – and took silver at foil in the men’s 70+ (category C) and the gold medal - and world title - in the men’s Category C sabre competition.

Back in May Malcolm had won silver in the European Championships in Category 4 (70+) men’s sabre in Italy.

He set up Chilwell Blades Fencing Club nearly 40 years ago, where he continues to coach, and is only one of two current world fencing championships within the UK.
