Teams confirmed for Mansfield-bound Tour Of Britain
The UK’s most prestigious cycle race takes place between Sunday, September 2 and Sunday, September 9, with the 223-kilometre Nottinghamshire stage on Saturday, September 8 to start in West Bridgford and pass through the city and Ashfield before finishing in Mansfield town centre.

Hide AdThe line-up will include some of the world’s top teams and riders, including four British UCI Continental teams, JLT Condor, ONE Pro Cycling, Madison Genesis and Canyon Eisberg.
Also among the teams taking part will be the German squad Team Sunweb, Italy’s Bardiani-CSF, Aqua Blue Sport, from Ireland, and a Great Britain national team showcasing the best talent from the next generation of the country’s cycling stars.
Julie Harrington, chief executive of British Cycling, said: “The calibre of this year’s teams highlights the importance of the Tour Of Britain in the racing calendar, and we are proud that some of the most high-profile cyclists will again be competing on British roads.

It is the third time in four years that the county has hosted a stage of the race. Last year, stage four started in Mansfield and more than 210,000 spectators lined the streets as it made its way to Newark.
An estimated one million people watched the Nottinghamshire stage on ITV4, either live or in a highlights package, while the Tour Of Britain’s presence in the county is said to have boosted the local economy by £3.4 million.
