The 14-year-old added the national crown to his Midlands belt by beating hometown fighter JJ Price in Accrington earlier this month.

Now the Ashfield School pupil - who fights in the 50 to 55kg bracket - is targeting further glory at European and World level after taking a silver medal in the Euros last year.

Kade, a member of the Midland One Kickboxing Club at Festival Hall in Kirkby, has been training since the age of five and is instructed by Matt Hainy.

He was accompanied in his corner for the Accrington fight by Gary Callan and dad Brendan, who is immensely proud of his son’s achievements.

“I can’t explain how hard Kade’s been training, seven days a week,” he said. “He is very disciplined with his fitness work.

“However he gets on his fights I will always be right behind him, win lose or draw, because of the effort he puts in.

“He keeps getting better and better and has the British, European and worlds in his sights.

“The one-to-one training he is doing with Scott in Matlock will be very useful in helping him step up to that next level. There is no-one better to learn from than a world champion.”

Kade has already earned selection for the Great Britain squad, but was unable to make the recent trip to Italy because of his English title fight.

However, he hopes to represent them in the future with further opportunities for international honours likely to arise in the New Year.

In the long-term, there is the chance in kickboxing to turn professional, but Kade has his eyes on another path.

Brendan added: “I think deep down he wants to have a go at boxing and maybe go down that route.

“But there is plenty of time for that in the future and for the moment he is concentrating on achieving all he can in kickboxing.”
