Star performances from Sheppard in mini league

Ellie Sheppard was the star performer for Mansfield Harriers in the final round of the Nottinghamshire Mini League Series in Bingham.

Harriers took another strong team for the fourth and final fixture in the series and placed fourth on the day in extremely hot conditions and third overall.

There were some tremendous performances throughout with the highlights being two mini league records, two athletes of the match and the U13 girls victorious on the day and overall in the category.

Performance of the day came from U15s girl Sheppard who had a terrific competition winning the 100m - breaking the 13-second barrier with a time of 12.9.

She did well in the 200, finishing in 26.1 seconds, and showed her versatility by winning the whot with a massive 10.10 metres.

The much improved Under 13 boys continue the development they have shown all year coming in second overall and third in this fixture.

The U13s girls continued to impress with another dynamic performance resulting in a win on both the fixture and overall.

An improved showing from the U11 girls earned them fourth position on the day and fifth for the season.

While, the club struggled to get competitors out in both the U11s and U15s boys competitions.
